TIC TAC PROMOTES KINDNESS
Mint brand Tic Tac have launched a new marketing campaign to help spread positivity among its customers. The limited-edition packaging is available until April and features messages such as “Keep Your Day In Mint Condition” and “Orange You Glad We Have Each Other?” This packaging has been launched alongside a Tic Tac messaging service which uses augmented reality to allow customers to send each other personalised messages of kindness and positivity.
SOCIAL COMMERCE BOOM
If you’ve already invested your time and energy into e-commerce, it might be worth it for you to focus some of that attention to social commerce too. Research predicts that social commerce will grow three times as fast as traditional ecommerce as customers change the way they shop online. The growth is due to the rise of millennial and Gen-Z consumers who will count for 62% of the market by 2025. Already, in the past year, two thirds of social media users say they used social platforms to make purchases.
OREO TURNS BACK THE CLOCK
Oreo takes a trip down memory lane by taking over the last remaining Blockbuster. Calling back to 2007, they mark the return of their soft-baked snack cakes. Customers visiting the store will get to sample the cakes in VHS inspired packaging in a bid to appeal to the of consumers in Oregon. Oreo are leaning into the marketing strategy that has proven successful for brands all over the world – particularly after the unprecedented 2020s – a nostalgia for a simpler time.
HOTEL CHOCOLAT SEES BOOST
Hotel Chocolat have avoided putting all their chocolates in one basket with their latest multichannel strategy. The luxury chocolate retailer has reported a 40% growth in revenue which their credit to the varied marketing approach. Their multichannel model includes an investment in digital marketing, a customer loyalty programme, and a subscription service. These chocolatiers prove that a wide marketing strategy is the key to success.
INSTAGRAM IS THE PLACE TO BE
Is your business on Instagram? If not, it might be time to change that. New research indicates that the Gram might be the place to be in 2022! While Tik Tok of course remains popular, it’s not suitable for all brands, and Facebook has far less appeal among younger generations, Instagram has remained popular. Rather than de-prioritising any of your apps, instead you should be aiming for a multi-platform social media approach in order to reach all your potential customers.
