The Challenge


Riso Gallo produce high-quality rice products and have been feeding families across the globe for over 150 years.

So when they approached us to revamp and refresh their website, the regular challenges of completely satisfying a client were compounded by the rare responsibility of working on a website which not only needed ecommerce elements, but also acted as a distinctive digital portal into social and culinary history.

However, we couldn’t linger in limbo like befuddled William Blakes, lost in reveries regarding worlds in grains of rice – time was pressing and we needed a practical plan.

Despite being a strong business that has well and truly stood the test of time, their current Shopify site was lagging and starting to look as stale as a loaf from the focaccia museum.

So our bold brief was to transform the website by modernising its functionality to meet the demands of visitors and to update the design in order to enhance its aesthetic appeal.
