Apple’s latest software update, iOS 14, has been hotly anticipated for some time and last weekend the update finally dropped. 🎓 Could VR Be The Next Step In Universities?

As universities return to campuses, new methods are being explored to assist with social distancing and remote learning, and it appears that VR could be the next step in introducing technology to the classroom. One such simulation produces a virtual lab which enables students to explore an authentically recreated environment that enables students to get up close and personal with the science they’re discovering.

🛍️ Amazon Keeps Shush About Prime Day

Whilst Amazon refuses to confirm details, shoppers have been searching for hints, and it looks as though the annual Prime Day Event could be on its way this October. This yearly spending extravaganza usually takes place around July but was postponed due to the pandemic. Keep your eyes peeled for the bargains!

🕹️ Hackers Transform Mario LEGO Into Controller

You may remember back in August we told you about a LEGO/Nintendo collaboration that celebrates Mario’s 35th Anniversary? Well, one internet genius has transformed his LEGO Mario into a nifty controller for the 1985 NES game. To move the onscreen Mario, simply tilt the figure forwards or backwards depending on where you want him to go.

🖤 Nintendo 3DS Discontinued

In less joyful Nintendo news, fans were disappointed to learn this week that the popular Nintendo 3DS console, which brought glasses-free 3D gaming to small screens back in 2011, is to be discontinued. Whilst this is sad news for many Nintendo fans, the console has had a good run at just under a decade.
